Prestige Recruiting Solutions has partnered with our client to recruit for a Lawyer based in Toronto. Our client, a well-established, Canadian Injury Law firm, is looking to hire an experienced Lawyer specialized in Injury Law to join their growing team.

We are looking for a strong litigator with an excellent academic record, significant arbitration, trial and LAT hearing experience, experienced working in a fast-paced team and a commitment to exceeding client expectations. As a member of the Ontario Bar, you have demonstrated experience synthesizing complex information and crafting clear and persuasive written and oral arguments. This role is open to insurance lawyers seeking growth and flexibility. What You Will Do

  • Screening potential clients,
  • Investigating claims and gathering evidence in support of claims advanced,
  • Summarizing file information and evidence on file,
  • Documenting injuries and expenses,
  • Calculating damages,
  • Interviewing witnesses,
  • Reviewing medical documents,
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, factums, and written submissions,
  • Representing and counselling clients throughout the entire claims process,
  • Attending the License Appeal Tribunal, at Examinations for Discovery, Mediation, Pre-Trial and Trial,
  • Protecting clients from insurance companies and the legal system.

What You Will Need:

Education:

  • Law Degree (JD or LLB) from an accredited Canadian Law School,
  • Certificate of Standing,
  • A Law Degree from another common law jurisdiction,
  • Applicants who obtained their law degree outside of Canada must have NCA approval.

Experience:

  • 4+ years’ post-call experience. We welcome candidates with Insurance Defence and / or Plaintiff experience,
  • Experience in Small Claims Court, the License Appeal Tribunal, and Superior Court,
  • Experience drafting pleadings, motions, factums, and written submissions,
  • Experience in conducting Examinations for Discovery,
  • Strong legal research skills and the ability to synthesize information into clear and persuasive legal argument,
  • Understanding of current legislation and case law in the personal injury field.

Our client, a well established and growing real estate developer, is looking to add an experienced Customer Care Manager to oversee customer service while stationed in Mississauga, Ontario.

What you'll do:

  • You will be the first point of contact for New Purchasers after their Sales experience and will represent the builder,
  • When required, conduct Pre – PDIs to minimize the deficiencies on a PDI,
  • Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections with new homeowners and arrange for service of deficiencies (with the Finishing Super who will take care of PDI deficiencies),
  • Assemble homeowner key packages,
  • Create, draft, manage and distribute incoming homeowner correspondence and emails,
  • Maintain systems for closing dates, contact information and inspection dates,
  • Conduct all warranty inspections with homeowners,
  • Provide accurate and detailed knowledge of the project and occupancy process and closing process,
  • Liaise with Construction, the Office and Project Manager on specific customer issues that require their involvement,
  • Coordinate with the trades and handymen to schedule 30-day items, year-end and follow-up appointments with homeowners,
  • Provide daily updates to Builder,
  • Provide feedback to Builder on trends and monitor processes,
  • Ensure homeowners expectations are not only met but exceeded with regards to all aspects of their new home,
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years successful experience in a front-line customer service role.
  • General knowledge of/or experience working in low-rise construction is an asset
  • Strong computer proficiency with experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Prior experience working with NewStar Enterprise is an asset
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and friendly, with a demonstrated customer-centric orientation and experience working with people from a variety of demographics and cultural backgrounds

What you'll do...

Employee & Organizational Support

  • Provide a level of customer service that emphasizes accessibility, integrity, trustworthiness, confidentiality, respect and dignity as well as ensure fair and equal treatment of all employees. Who you are...

Education

  • Relevant HR education and certification (CHRP or CHRL)

Experience

  • 5+ years Human Resources Management experience as a Generalist,
  • Possess a broad understanding of employment legislation in Ontario,
  • People management experience preferred but not required.
